I've seen all of that photoshopped nonsense online about Michelle Obama. It's sick and twisted. Sasha and Malia aren't supposed to be her biological kids (they've said the same identical thing about Meghan Markle and her kids), Joan River's nasty comment about how everyone knows Michelle is a "tranny" (Karma paid her plastic a** a visit and it didn't work out for her)...it's all so predictable and on-brand for racists. Michelle Obama is a tall, fit, intelligent, dynamic, well-educated lovely woman, so on-cue, she must be taken down a few notches, even if it's by absurd photo manipulation and flat-out lies. And unfortunately, I've had a few of my "friends" question Michelle's gender. When I asked them why would they question whether she is a woman or not, the very first response was..."well, she looks hard, rough and butch". Needless to say, I had to close the door on those friendships quickly.

Whereas, they may not have liked her, but Melania was seen to these same people as the epitome of beauty, femininity, sophistication and intelligence, although she lied about her education, plagiarized Michelle's speech and lied about speaking 5 languages (when she was in France, she couldn't even speak the most rudimentary French, and she constantly butchers English). Also her laughable "Einstein Visa". Give me a break with that.

Had Michelle told those types of lies and had Melania's type of risqué photos all across the web, Barack Obama wouldn't have EVER been elected president. White people can make all sorts of excuses and turn a 1000 blind eyes to what other White people do and say, even when it's appalling and boldface lies, but they will excoriate someone Black for the smallest things, real or made-up. What these online assassins and right-wing Republicans did to Michelle Obama (and are still doing) is not only infuriating, but gives us an insight on how low White people will go to negate a Black woman's accomplishments and our femininity, in addition to their quest to obliterate our power and strength.

Yes other races of women have their own issues with toxic masculinity and misogyny, but none of it compares to what Black women deal with on a day-to-day basis with the blood-sport of misogynoir.
